'Courage is rightly considered the foremost of the virtues, for upon it all others depend.'
(Winston Churchill)

The development of courage and self-confidence is absolutely essential for success. It is the fear of failure that holds most people back.

Courage, involving the willingness to take calculated risks is one of the most important qualities in achieving business and personal goals.

The fear of failure often comes from a result of destructive criticism in childhood and youth.  It is not based on reality but on imagination. 99 percent of the things we worry about never come to pass!

If we do the thing we fear then we will find that fear will lose its power.

Are we brave enough to confront the fear, move towards it, deal with it and resolve the fearful situation?  A cowardly person will back away, avoid it and hope that the fear will go away by itself.

When we move towards something we fear, the fear diminishes in size and influence, becoming smaller and smaller until it has no influence over our emotions. If we keep going forward we will grow in courage and self-confidence, until it becomes so automatic that we won't back away from anything!
